The Columbus Day weekend is here and the foliage in New Hampshire is looking great! I traveled through New Hampshire's Great North Woods and into the White Mountains Region along one of the state's most iconic highways and found breathtakingly beautiful scenery. Watch this video blog to see the sights for yourself -- and take note of two hidden gems that you're going to want to include on your foliage viewing itinerary! Can't wait to see what next week brings! Check out more amazing images.
Wow! What can I say about the leaf transformation over the past several days? I think "unbe-leaf-able" pretty much sums it up! (I've been waiting all week to use that one). Seriously though, I had an amazing time seeking out the season's best foliage -- and from my view the colors are striking, stunning, and nothing short of SPECTACULAR! I wanted to start this week with a big THANK YOU to Mother Nature for turning the temp down just a bit and delivering a crisp fall feel to the Granite State. Seems like the cool nights and warm days are just the push the leaves needed to start making the transformation into all those amazing colors we love so much! Read on...
Hello Friends! Here's a fun fact: 83 percent of New Hampshire is covered with trees. We're talking thousands and thousands, make that millions and millions of trees. While not all of them change color in the fall....a whole lot of them do, which is great because I LOVE leaves! Red, orange, yellow, crimson, coral, peach even green! Doesn't matter the color, I collect them all and I'm going out on a limb here to tell you one of my favorite fall activities is leaf-peeping!
