The Columbus Day weekend is here and the foliage in New Hampshire is looking great! I traveled through New Hampshire’s Great North Woods and into the White Mountains Region along one of the state’s most iconic highways and found breathtakingly beautiful scenery.
Watch this video blog to see the sights for yourself — and take note of two hidden gems that you’re going to want to include on your foliage viewing itinerary!
Can’t wait to see what next week brings!
Before I let you go – I wanted to be sure to share with you the progress on my neighborhood trees!
It would have been helpful if you had listed your driving route. Thanks!
Hi Staci, Thank you for that feedback. I had included a map in an earlier post about the route, but should have also included it with the video blog! Will be sure to provide those details next time around. Thank you!
Thank you! Saw the new post for this week and the map plus the text was very helpful. Got it all down. Thank you so much!
Last weekend we followed the trail you mapped out above and IT WAS AMAZING AND GORGEOUS! We couldn’t believe how wonderful the trip was, the views, as well as the perfect foliage! Thank you so much!
So glad you had such a great trip around that route it is gorgeous!! And hope you enjoyed the most recent one too! Happy fall!
Coming up from Texas, October 14 -17. Will the colors still be this beautiful? Should we still follow your route or do you recommend another?
Hi Lanita, You have picked a beautiful time to visit New Hampshire. Peak foliage arrives at different times throughout the state. It will probably be just past peak in the Great North Woods which was part of our route, and it is getting to be close to just past peak in the White Mountains as well. But the color will probably hang on there for a bit longer. Some areas of the state you might consider are the Lakes Region, the Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee Region or the Monadnock Region — all are bursting with color right now! Best of luck on your trip and feel free to check in when you get here!
Very nice and helpful video. Thanks!
Thank you very much for your nice feedback!
