Wow, what a week! Foliage around New Hampshire is on fire! I don’t know about you, but I have seen some pretty amazing sights this season and this week is no exception.
I’m really excited to share my journey that took me west along I-89 from Concord to Mt. Kearsarge and Rollins State Park (exit 8). Not only did I find some great looking leaves, but a few other treats too! Watch this video blog for the scoop!
Here are a few other photos from this week’s adventure that I wanted to share.
The actual route I took follows I-89 North to Exit 8. Off the exit bear left onto Schoodac Road, then take a right onto Route 103, and follow signs to Warner and Rollins State Park. When you leave Rollins State Park, follow Route 103 East to Route 127. Here, as mentioned in the video, I followed mostly back roads which were quite scenic and provided lovely views to rambling fields and farmlands. Off 127, turn onto Dustin Road, this turns into East Penacook Road and Warner Road, then take a right onto Horse Hill Road which leads to Carter Hill Road. From here you’ll follow the route to Little Pond Road and Penacook Street, which will bring you to Route 3 in Concord. Don’t forget to stop and enjoy the scenery and other fall treats along the way!
This week’s selfie spot: the parking lot at the top of Rollins State Park Auto Road.
PS…The weekly tree report from my neighborhood!
