A crisp feeling in the air, pops of color along the roadways, ocean views, gentle breezes, miles and miles of nature trails --- and fewer crowds? I was able to find all that and more in my travels this week. My adventure took me from Concord to the Seacoast and highlights some great places to walk, shop and sit back and enjoy the view! Watch my latest video blog to see why fall is such a wonderful time to experience New Hampshire’s Seacoast! Check out the Seacoast Region.
Just when you think the foliage show can't get any brighter and BOOM, it does! I have been hearing reports of how awesome the foliage has been around New Hampshire's Lakes Region. So, I had to go check it out for myself. There is still an abundance of color to be seen in this region with beautiful corals, peaches, yellows and reds dotting the trees. And there is just something magical about seeing these autumn hues reflecting in the crystal clear waters below. This video blog highlights the scenery and some great stops to make as you work your way around the Big Lake! I hope you enjoy the sights as much as I did. Photos from around the Lakes Region.
Wow, what a week! Foliage around New Hampshire is on fire! I don’t know about you, but I have seen some pretty amazing sights this season and this week is no exception. I’m really excited to share my journey that took me west along I-89 from Concord to Mt. Kearsarge and Rollins State Park (exit 8). Not only did I find some great looking leaves, but a few other treats too! Watch this video blog for the scoop! https://youtu.be/nAjroq7g1G4 […]
The Columbus Day weekend is here and the foliage in New Hampshire is looking great! I traveled through New Hampshire's Great North Woods and into the White Mountains Region along one of the state's most iconic highways and found breathtakingly beautiful scenery. Watch this video blog to see the sights for yourself -- and take note of two hidden gems that you're going to want to include on your foliage viewing itinerary! Can't wait to see what next week brings! Check out more amazing images.
Wow! What can I say about the leaf transformation over the past several days? I think "unbe-leaf-able" pretty much sums it up! (I've been waiting all week to use that one). Seriously though, I had an amazing time seeking out the season's best foliage -- and from my view the colors are striking, stunning, and nothing short of SPECTACULAR! See my Great North Woods region trip.
I wanted to start this week with a big THANK YOU to Mother Nature for turning the temp down just a bit and delivering a crisp fall feel to the Granite State. Seems like the cool nights and warm days are just the push the leaves needed to start making the transformation into all those amazing colors we love so much! Read on...
Hello Friends! Here's a fun fact: 83 percent of New Hampshire is covered with trees. We're talking thousands and thousands, make that millions and millions of trees. While not all of them change color in the fall....a whole lot of them do, which is great because I LOVE leaves! Red, orange, yellow, crimson, coral, peach even green! Doesn't matter the color, I collect them all and I'm going out on a limb here to tell you one of my favorite fall activities is leaf-peeping!
