The unique 400-acre destination in Kensington now boasts one of the largest outdoor art parks in all of New England, and you’re invited to explore it.
Tucked away on 400 acres of trails in Kensington, the destination, Alnoba, offers an oasis from the outside world, one rich with personal development and thought-provoking art. The non-profit organization offers leadership programs, retreat space for team building and bonding, farmland, a farm-to-table restaurant, and now, a world-class art park – adding to the handful of reasons to plan a trip here. Described as a place “where art and nature converge,” Alnoba’s art park is home to over 20 sculptures and installations created by artists from all over the world. A walk through the park will lead you to the likes of a 1,000 lb. bronze gorilla, a 20-foot-tall red cedar totem pole, a wild west buffalo made out of salvaged scrap metal and may more larger-than-life sculptures. You’re welcomed to experience the works of international artists from South Africa to England through all of your senses. Climb, touch, lean, observe – Alnoba encourages it! Come solo and take a private guided tour or sign up for one of the small 90-minute group tours. Check out their event page for other ways to visit like a “Refresh Your Recycle Skills” workshop or a rejuvenating “Mommy Meditation.”
