It may just be one holiday, but in New Hampshire, it seems there are endless ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Family Fun for Everyone [Exeter] 2/8
Shower the people you love at the annual Sweetheart Family Dance at the Exeter Town Hall. Along with a night of snacks, candy, and tons of dancing, you’ll also get a family photo to remember the night. Along with the dance, the Town of Exeter Arts and Music is hosting live music at both Tailgate Tavern and Seadog Brewery so you can start off or end your night with dinner and a show.
Find the Skis to Your Heart [Jackson] 2/9
The Saturday before Valentine’s Day singles gather for a great day of skiing and speed dating at Black Mountain’s Chairlift Speed Dating event. Hop on the double chair with a new friend for a seven-minute speed dating ride to the midpoint. Not a match? Have a great ride down the mountain and try again! If sparks fly, continue the date with some après ski at any of Jackson’s eight restaurants.
Rendezvous for Two [Pittsburg]
Snuggle by a fireplace, snowshoe at sunrise, and get cozy in your private cabin that has the feel of a faraway land. In Pittsburg, Lopstick Cabins feels like a home away from home set in the beautiful surroundings of the Great North Woods. When you’re ready to venture out, the area’s favorite eateries like Murphy’s Steakhouse, The Burg, and Le Rendez Vous French Bakery, are all a short snowmobile (you can rent from Lopstick!) ride away.
Wine & Dine on Galentine’s [Portsmouth] 2/13
It may not be an official holiday yet, but February 13th is all about ladies celebrating ladies. Grab your gal pals and head out to Portsmouth for an evening of Galantine’s Day events. Raleigh Wine Bar is hosting a ladies-only event that includes delicious fare and an open bar (get your tickets ahead of time). Just a short four-minute walk down State Street, MINT Boutique will also be celebrating with a night of flower crown making, wine sipping, chitchatting, and clothes shopping.
For a D-I-Y Valentine’s [Manchester] 2/15–16
Turn your Valentine’s Day into a Valentine’s weekend. Make a vase for those red roses at Studio550’s Pottery Studio Date Night, where you’ll learn how to throw clay on your own wheel and leave with your own masterpiece. And it’s not Valentine’s Day without chocolate… so spend Saturday morning making your very own sweets to eat at the Van Otis Chocolates Truffle Making Class, and continue the tradition for years to come.
